Wasp Nest Treatment North Wales
Wasp Nest Treatment North Wales

A wasp sting can be very painful, and therefore very unpleasant. If you are allergic it can be deadly. Wasps are often mistaken for bees and are also confused with other stinging insects.

Wasps are notorious for building their nests in places where people like to gather, like around your deck, in the eaves of your house, but they can also go undisturbed in attics and lofts until they are discovered in the spring.

Queen wasps emerge from hibernation in Springtime, when the days lengthen and the weather warms to start building a wasp nest, with more worker wasps hatching as the Summer progresses.

Wasps are most active in the warmer summer months. In the UK, the common Wasp and German cause the most annoyance and painful stings. Even with their distinctive yellow and black body, they can still be confused with hornets.

Only female wasps have a sting that they can use repeatedly, if they feel threatened. Treating a wasp nest is often the most efficient way to control a wasp problem and reduce the threat of being stung.

Some people are tempted to treat the nest themselves with amateur use products. Amateur use products are weaker than professional alternatives, therefore often ineffective

Some people also attempt to seal the nest entrance with tape or expanding foam, do not do this. Sealing a nest entrance is dangerous and will only make the situation worse.

As the Summer rolls on the nests become bigger and potentially have thousands of workers. As insect life decreases they feed on fruit and when the Queens leave to hibernate the remaining workers become aggressive. Do not be tempted to treat a nest yourself, it is highly likely you will be stung.

Our treatments are often far less expensive than people realise, often cheaper than the Local Authority.

Our work is guaranteed – if you continue to have activity 72 hours from treatment we will retreat – no charge to you.

Absolutely. While DIY pest control treatments may appear effective at first, the general public do not have access to the most effective equipment , in fact DIY treatments usually end up causing more damage and never fully resolve the issue, often at a far higher cost than it would have been to hire a professional. Attempting DIY pest control also places you at a much higher risk of injury or contracting disease, its a false economy.
